Bettina is the greenfingered one out of the two of us, but occasionally she ropes Tim in to do a bit of digging, shredding and stuff - but we think that the results are worth it.
We started off at the beginning of this season with nothing but a patch of grass. After getting some paving slabs to divide the pretty bit from the vegetable bit, and having a patio built, we then set to, and watched shares in our local garden centre rise!

Roses seem to love our soil - which is not what we think when we have to dig it! |
A border after the poppies came out, but with most things still at an early stage |
A closer views of the poppies |
Something white and pretty - sorry, but I have a hopeless memory for the names of flowers (but they don't seem to object to me forgetting their names) |
T's favourite - Night Scented Stocks. Not the most amazing looking of flowers, but the scent that they produce in the mid to late evening is incredible. |

We love all the different colours |
Sweet Peas seem to thrive in the garden - and we always seem to have plenty to put in vases in the house - these were still fairly early in the season. |
Antirrhinums - or to call them by their proper name, Bunny Faces |
Cornflowers |
The Antirrhinums - later in the season |
It's amazing what you can do with a bit of ground and a few packets of seeds |
What are these? Primula? Marigolds? Deadly Nightshade? whatever, they are pretty |
