Ever since T was a small boy, he has wanted to fly on Concorde (even thought the french insisted that it was spelled incorrectly!), and finally the dream became a reality. (B who hates flying realised that spending only 3.5 hours on a plane with no turbulence to get to New York was not a bad idea - and decided that this was the only way to travel!)

You will notice a complete lack of pictures of what we did in New York, as that was secondary to the trip itself!

It is strange - for some reason they put a speedometer in the cabin, and it only goes up to 2 - my car goes up to 130!! (but this display did cycle with the outside temperature and speed in mph, which was -61 and 1240 respectively).

B in her seat. T had the window seat and it was very warm sitting there as the outside skin of Concorde gets to over 100 degrees, but the air conditioning works rather well so we didn't suffer too much!

Coming in to land - 3 hours 50 mins after we pushed back from the stand - and about 15 mins of that was spent taxiing to the runway
